白茅根概述
白茅根为禾本科植物白茅的干燥根茎。春、秋二季采挖,洗净,晒干,除去须根和膜质叶鞘,捆成小把。生于路旁向阳干草地或山坡上,分布于东北、华东、中南、西南及陕西、甘肃等地。白茅根,始载于《神农本草经》,原名茅根。《本经》载:“劳伤虚羸,补中益气,除瘀血、血闭寒热,利小便。”

《本经逢原》记载:“白茅根,《本经》主劳伤虚羸者,以甘寒能滋虚热,而无伤犯胃气之虞也。言补中益气,胃热去而中气复,是指客邪入伤中州,渐成虚羸而言,非劳伤本病所宜。治胃反上气,五淋疼热及痘疮干紫不起。”
白茅根性状
【性味】 味甘,性寒。
【归经】 归肺,胃,膀胱经。
呈长圆柱形,表面黄白色或淡黄色,微有光泽,具纵皱纹,节明显,稍突起,节间长短不等,通常长1.5~3cm。体轻,质略脆,断面皮部白色,多有裂隙,放射状排列,中柱淡黄色,易与皮部剥离。无臭,味微甜。
