木贼概述
木贼为木贼科植物木贼的全草，又名：锉草、笔头草、笔筒草、节骨草等。
生于山坡林下阴湿处、河岸湿地、溪边。有时也生于杂草地。夏、秋采收，割取地上部分，洗净，晒干。
木贼各家论述
据《本草经疏》记载：“木贼草，首主目疾，及退翳膜，益肝胆而明目也。其主积块、疗肠风、止痢，及妇人月水不断、崩中赤白、痔疾出血者，皆入血益肝胆之功，肝藏血故也。”
木贼性状
呈长管状，不分枝，表面灰绿色或黄绿色，有18～30条纵棱，棱上有多数细小光亮的疣状突起；节明显，节间长2.5～9cm，节上着生筒状鳞叶，叶鞘基部和鞘齿黑棕色，中部淡棕黄色；体轻，质脆，易折断，断面中空，周边有多数圆形的小空腔。气微，味甘淡、微涩，嚼之有沙粒感。
