A study in restraint. This 150ml gaiwan is bright white Ding-kiln (定窑) porcelain — thin, smooth, and clean — with a single bold character brushed down the bowl: 禅 (Chán, Zen), in a tall architectural hand. Beneath it sits a small black silhouette of a meditating figure, and the lid carries a crescent moon drifting through fine cloud lines. Slim dark pinstripes trace the rims of the lid and saucer.
Nothing here is decoration for decoration's sake. The slim white walls show tea color beautifully, and 150ml is the classic gongfu proportion — quick infusions, full flavor, light enough to pour with three fingers. Lid, bowl, and saucer nest together neatly.
