Property
Sweet, cold; lung and stomach meridians entered.
Actions
Moisten lung and resolve phlegm, move qi and soothe chest.
Indications
Chest pain, sore throat, cough due to phlegm-heat, hematemesis, epistaxis, diabetes, sores and boils, constipation.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 9~12 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, stir-baked it into charcoal and pounded into powder for applying.
Cations
It is contraindicated in case of damp phlegm due to spleen deficiency. It is contraindicated for combining with Wu Tou.

瓜蒌皮概述(润肺化痰 利气宽胸)
别名 栝楼壳、瓜壳、栝楼皮
为葫芦科植物栝楼或双边栝楼的干燥成熟果皮，9～10月采收果实。
对半切开，取出果肉和种子，将果皮洗净，先翻出里面晾晒，后晒外面。
瓜蒌皮各家论述
《四川中药志》记载：“润肺降气，止咳祛痰。治咽喉疼痛，大便燥结及乳痈。”
瓜蒌皮性状
【性味】 味甘，性寒。
【归经】 归肺、胃经。
干燥果皮通常卷成筒状，常连有果柄，果皮很薄，外表面橙黄色，有鲜红斑块及细脉纹，内表面类白色至暗黄色，常附有未去尽的果肉。质硬而脆。芳香，带辣味。
