牛膝概述
牛膝为苋科植物牛膝的根,冬季茎叶枯萎时采挖,除去须根及泥沙,捆成小把,晒至干皱后,将顶端切齐,晒干。生于屋旁、林缘、山坡草丛中。分布于除东北以外的全国广大地区。在有些地区则大量栽培,河南产的怀牛膝为地道药材。
牛膝各家论述
《本草经疏》:“牛膝,走而能补,性善下行,故入肝肾。主寒湿痿痹,四肢拘挛、膝痛不可屈伸者,肝脾肾虚,则寒湿之邪客之而成痹,及病四肢拘挛,膝痛不可屈伸。此药性走而下行,其能逐寒湿而除痹也必矣。盖补肝则筋舒,下行则理膝,行血则痛止。逐血气,犹云能通气滞血凝也。”
牛膝性状
【性味】 味苦,酸,性平
【归经】 归肝,肾经
呈细长圆柱形,稍弯曲,上端稍粗,下端较细,表面灰黄色或淡棕色,有略扭曲而细微的纵皱纹、横长皮孔及稀疏的细根痕。质硬而脆,易折断,受潮则变柔软,断面平坦,黄棕色,微呈角质样而油润,中心维管束木部较大,黄白色,其外围散有多数点状的维管束,排列成2~4轮。气微,味微甜而稍苦涩。
