金铁锁概述
金铁锁，稀有种，为中国特有的单种属植物，为石竹科植物金铁锁的根，秋后或春初发芽前采挖根部，去净苗叶、泥土或除去栓皮，晒干，生于海拔2000-3100m的向阳岩石坡地或石缝中，是研究石竹科系统分类和进化极宝贵的材料，又是常用的中药材，有一定的经济价值。
金铁锁始载于明代兰茂《滇南本草》，谓：“金铁锁，味辛、辣，性大温，有小毒，吃之令人多吐。专治面寒疼，胃气心气疼。疮痈排脓。”
金铁锁各家论述
《云南中草药》记载：“止血止痛，活血祛瘀，除风湿。主跌打损伤，创伤出血，风湿疼痛，胃痛。”
金铁锁性状
【性味】 味苦，辛，性温，小毒。
【归经】 归肝经。根长圆锥形，挺直或略扭曲，表面黄棕色，有多数纵皱纹及横皮孔纹，除去栓皮后内面黄白色，易折断，断面粉性，具黄色密集的放射状纹理。气微，味辛辣，有刺喉感。
