The drug is the dried kernel of Capparis masaikai Lévl. (Family Capparidaceae), growing in forests, and distributed in Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan of China.PropertyPungent, slightly warm; spleen, stomach, large intestine and small intestine meridians entered.

Actions

马槟榔概述(清热解渴 催产)
别名 马金囊、水槟榔、紫槟榔、马槟榔籽
为白花菜科山柑属植物马槟榔，以种仁入药。秋季果实呈褐色时采收，剖开取出种子，洗去假种皮，晒干。《广西中药志》记载：“清肺、生津止渴。主麻疹、喉痛。”

马槟榔性状
【性味】 味苦、甘，性寒。
【归经】 归脾，胃，肺经。
呈不规则扁圆形，直径1～2cm。表面棕褐色，常有黑褐色果肉残留，边缘有凸出的种脐。外种皮质硬而脆，种仁黄白色，子叶交叉折叠，盘旋卷曲，如蜗牛状。气微，味微涩而甜。
