The immature fruit or the pericarp of evergreen small arbor Citrus reticulata Blanco of family Rutaceae.Colleted the immature fruits during the period of May to June when they fall from trees and dried in the sun, they are called Ge Qing Pi; collected the pericarp of the immature fruit during the period of July to August, cut it into four petals and dried in the sun, they are called Si Hua Qing Pi.Fragrant, pungent and slightly bitter.Ge Qing Pi at best quality is dark green, even size, thick pericarp with strong fragrance; Si Hua Qing Pi is dark green scarfskin, white interior, heavy oily.

青皮概述(疏肝破气 消积化滞)
别名 四花青皮、个青皮、青皮子、醋青皮
为芸香科植物橘及其栽培变种的干燥幼果或未成熟果实的果皮。
5~6月收集自落的幼果,晒干,习称“个青皮”;7~8月采收未成熟的果实,在果皮上纵剖成四瓣至基部,除尽瓤瓣,晒干,习称“四花青皮”。《纲目》记载:“暖脾胃,固大肠。”

《本草纲目》记载:“青橘皮,其色青气烈,味苦而辛,治之以醋,所谓肝欲散,急食辛以散之,以酸泄之,以苦降之也。陈皮浮而升,入脾肺气分,青皮沉而降,入肝胆气分,一体二用,物理自然也。”
青皮性状
【性味】 味苦、辛,性温。
【归经】 归肝、胆、胃经。
果皮剖成4裂片,裂片长椭圆形,长4~150px,厚0.1~5px。外表面灰绿色或黑绿色,密生多数油室;内表面类白色或黄白色,粗糙,附黄白色或黄棕色小筋络。质稍硬,易折断,断面外缘有油室1~2列。气香,味苦、辛。
